This course defined the differences between natural, synthetic, hydrophilic, and hydrophobic fibers. This

alongside the merchandising department. I helped resize, organize, and update line-sheets, BOMs, and AI files.
AMM 357 - Exporting and Importing
This course dealt with the importing and exporting of textile goods and products. This course used the
standard Harmonized Tariff Schedule and U.S. Customs' definitions and terms. This course revealed the
production and transportation side of the apparel supply chain.
AMM 360/360A - Textile Science III
The third Textile Science course compared fabrications to industry standards. I really enjoyed this course, because
it set the definitions of industry standards, company standards and quality.
AMM 381/381L - Mass Apparel Production
This was one of my most favorite classes. This course was the theory and practice of the different types of production in the apparel industry. The class broke into groups, through cut-order plans, spreading, cutting, off-loading, and assembly, the groups would produce 6 preemie and 6 normal infant garments. The group I was apart of, designed and produced baby ponchos. This course gave me the production insight of the apparel industry. This class was the most rewarding too, at the end of the course, we donated the garments to the local hospital.
